Our first priority is to the black and brown women and girls who speak about mental health but often go unheard. For the group of women who routinely care for others before themselves, we strive to provide an avenue to share their stories and educational resources to positively impact their mental health.
Brown Girls and Mental Health Foundation Inc. is a non-profit organization with a vision to provide top-notch, relatable mental health education and digital resources catered to women of color. We seek to promote mental wellness in black and brown communities through resources that reflect our unique adversities and experiences.
There is a shortage of mental health literature and educational resources available that focus specifically on women of color. Brown Girls and Mental Health Magazine serves to bridge that gap. Offering educational articles, personal stories, and works of art. Brown Girls and Mental Health Magazine is created for women of color, by women of color.
We at Brown Girls and Mental Health strive to create a safe space in our online community for women of color across the globe.
